Designing and Building Your Unique Home with MacArthur
With more than 20 years dedicated to creating exceptional homes
MacArthur Custom Homes was founded by Maxwell MacArthur with a clear vision: to provide exceptional construction services built on quality, craftsmanship, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
From an early age, Maxwell MacArthur was immersed in the construction industry, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of trades and developing a diverse set of practical skills. His natural curiosity, dedication, and eagerness to learn established the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in construction, remodeling, and residential development.
An opportunity to take on a small motel project in Edmonton marked a significant turning point in MacArthur's career. He relocated to the Keys, where he took on the extensive renovation and operation of an aging motel. Managing the property while overseeing its transformation was a demanding full-time responsibility, but the experience further strengthened his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for improving properties.
Seeking to expand his experience and pursue new opportunities, MacArthur established Landscape Services, a landscaping company that continues to operate today. While managing both the motel and landscaping business, he continued to develop his expertise in construction and property improvement.
At just twenty years old, MacArthur designed and began remodeling his first home. He quickly developed a passion for transforming older properties into beautiful, functional residences and discovered the rewarding intersection of craftsmanship, design, and real estate investment.
Following the sale of the motel, MacArthur was able to dedicate greater time and resources to residential construction and remodeling. He began building and renovating homes for himself, working closely with his real estate agent, Ashley, and steadily developing a reputation for creating distinctive, high-quality properties.
The transition from personal projects to professional construction came when one of MacArthur's landscaping clients approached him for assistance with a construction project. Recognizing an opportunity to turn his experience and passion into a dedicated construction business, MacArthur obtained his contractor's license and established MacArthur Custom Homes.
Since its founding, MacArthur Custom Homes has provided construction and remodeling services for numerous private residences, as well as prominent commercial properties throughout the Keys. The company has built its reputation through a commitment to craftsmanship, personalized service, and a hands-on approach to every project.
Today, MacArthur Custom Homes continues to carry forward Maxwell MacArthur's original vision: to create exceptional homes through thoughtful design, superior craftsmanship, careful project management, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
